Zion

Zion's Mission Statement:

"The Church is a people created by God in Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit, called and sent to bear witness to God's creative, redeeming, and sanctifying activity in the world."

Sunday worship is at 11:00 a.m. and Sunday School at 10:00 with Holy Communion on the first and third Sundays of each month. Services are both traditional and contemporary.

In addition to Sunday School for both children, there is a Bible Study for adults each Sunday morning during the fall and winter.

Other opportunities for fellowship are WELCA and Christian Women. Zion's youth pair with our sister congregation, Eidskog Lutheran Church, for social activities.

Zion Lutheran Church of Ortonville is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Our church was founded in 1885 by Swedish immigrants and our first church was built in 1886. Our current facility was built in 1962 and services were first held here on November 27, 1963.

Through a variety of worship experiences we seek to provide a strong feeling of family and allows members to know each other on a first name basis.

The members of Zion extend a warm welcome to everyone and invite you to make Zion your church home. We preach and proclaim the teachings and Gospels of our Savior, Jesus Christ. We believe
